CPA were approached by a local designer who had an idea of designing an all-plastic moulded shower cartridge valve in one unit.
At the time all shower cartridges were in two parts, one controlled the temperature of the water, hot & cold mix and the other controlled the flow of the mix.
CPA along with the designer came up with ideas on initial components & also making the components mouldable.
This Resulted in 6 components being designed to complete an assembled thermostatically controlled value in one assy.
This product was tooled up by CPA.
The customer eventually sold his product to a large national manufacturer of bathroom products based in the north west of the U.K.
CPA are still manufacturing this product 25 years later along with its larger sister products which controls more than One shower.
